This historic museum is housed in the former Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church, which was built in 1882. Owned and operated by the Long Beach Island Historical Association and manned by a faithful group of volunteers, it is dedicated to education and preserving both the natural and man-made history of Long Beach Island.
With a library of out-of-print books and documents for public research, presentations on shipwrecks and coastal history, and hundreds of maritime documents and photographs, this museum offers a wealth of information. It is dedicated to preserving the culture and history of the area, and is open daily in the summer, and weekends only the rest of the year.
